Orange Slice Cake

A few years ago, my mom gave me a cookbook compiled of her favorite recipes and who she got them from.  I love being able to make things I remember from childhood, knowing they have her touch, it just feels a little more special.

It's not Christmas, (we always had this then) but sometimes you just need some orange slice cake.  This recipe just calls for nuts, you can use whatever you would like.  I used half walnuts and half sliced almonds and it turned out great.

I hadn't used a bundt pan in a really long time, maybe since two houses ago.  Definitely grease well and flour.  Also, if you haven't used your bundt pan in awhile, make sure it doesn't have any rough spots or scratches that might keep the cake from coming out (whoops, whoops and double whoops).  Betty Crocker, I am not - cake eater, I am.

So, from the mother of my mom's best friend, Orange Slice Cake...
